It’s perfect. The H1 retains that unique transparency and precision withoutthe High-/Low-EQ, the two mixable and A/B switchable stereo inputs, or the preamp/line out functionality. This is the audiophile’s version, without compromise in quality but just leaving out the features that are not applicable for studio mixing work.

By dispensing with the aforementioned stages, it was also possible to integrate the power transformer—which is, of course, heavily shielded in MuMetal. A separate power adapter is now no longer necessary, keeping the footprint small in the scarce desktop real estate.

The icing on the cake is a Pentaconn 4.4mm and extended input sensitivity switching, while retaining top grade materials fitting to bear the name Zähl.
